SUBJECT: ADMINISTRATION IN THE ABSENCE OF POLICY

1. In cases where action must be taken within the school system, and where the Board of School Trustees has provided no guidelines for administrative action, the Superintendent of Schools (or his/her designate) shall have the power to authorize action.

2. The decision (as outlined in 1 above) shall be subject to a review by the Board at its next regular meeting.

3. It shall be the duty of the Superintendent to inform the Board promptly of such action and advise the Board if there is need for appropriate policy.
