Thank you for your inquiry for the application process for international students entering School District No. 78 (Fraser-Cascade). Please note the following information: Applications
for new international students must be
processed by June 30 for the following
school year.
Please include a copy of the
students’ last report card and a letter
from the principal or teacher outlining
the student’s marks and studies with
your application. 1. Once School District No. 78 receives the Request for Admission of Student from Outside Canada form and the questionnaire we will pass the content information on to the Home stay Coordinator who will find a suitable Canadian guardian and home stay. 2. School District No. 78 will send you a letter requesting the tuition fees. Currently, the tuition fee for the current school year is $10,000 (Canadian) or $1,000 per month. A cheque is to be made out to: School
District No. 78 (Fraser-Cascade) Alternatively, the tuition and home stay fees may be electronically wired to the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC), Hope, British Columbia. The account number for School District No. 78 (Fraser-Cascade) is 05020 010 37 02219. If you decide to wire the tuition and home stay fees to the CIBC, you are responsible for any service charges that are imposed by the bank. 3.
The completed application form,
references and academic record, the
guardianship form, and tuition fees, must
be in place before the student receives a
School District No. 78 (Fraser-Cascade)
letter allowing the student to obtain a
visa to enroll in the school’s programme. 4.
The student may take a variety of
courses, including those in the graduation
programme.
Course selection is worked out with
the student and the school counselors
based on the student’s needs and
graduation requirements.
The Fraser-Cascade School District
arranges its school system based on
student and school needs.
Student programmes are worked out
at the school site with the school
counselor and/or administrator. 5.
Every student has to have BC
medical insurance, which takes
approximately three months to receive.
As students have to be physically
in Canada to apply for it, it is
recommended that they carry medical
insurance for at least three months from
their own country and apply for BC medical
insurance immediately upon their arrival.
All students are to submit the copy
of the medical insurance from their
country as soon as they arrive. 6.
We do not have any commission
policy, although we have a refund policy
attached to this document.
